International Workers’ Day or Labour Day, oftentimes referred to as May Day, acknowledges workers and celebrates the labour movement. In many countries this generally occurs on May 1st.
Again this year, the CUPE 1615 Executive Board, the Social Committee and members at the most recent Regular Meeting of members have decided to have a member engagement event over coffee, tea, muffins and donuts!
Brief remarks will be made by the union local President and possibly by some invited guests.
This will be a simultaneous event across campuses and satellite locations where CUPE 1615 members work. Union local members at satellite locations can be reimbursed up to $10 with an itemized receipt for cofree, tea, donuts or muffins.
